29th KIFF 2023: The 29th edition of the “Kolkata International Film Festival” (KIFF) 2023 recently concluded on Tuesday with the spectacular award-giving ceremony night at the Netaji Indoor Stadium in Kolkata. Israeli Film “Children of Nobody” bagged the “Golden Royal Bengal Tiger Award” for Best film. The film is written and narrated by Erez Tadmor from Tel-Aviv, Israel.
Inspired by a true story, this Israeli drama portrays journey of struggling boys who should rally to protect for in danger youth that has kept them off the roads. The film won a money grant of Rs 51 lakh alongside the prize.

Carlos Daniel Malave wins Best Director Award
- In addition to the Best Film Award, Venezuelan filmmaker Carlos Daniel Malave was also recognized with the “Golden Royal Bengal Tiger Award” for Best Director for his film “One Way.”
- He received a cash prize of Rs. 21 Lakh along with the trophy.
- The kolkata international film festival 2023 (KIFF) is only the third oldest international film festival of India organized annually by the West Bengal government.
