Mr. Lahoti named as Next Chairman and CEO of Railway Board: Senior Railway Official Anil Kumar Lahoti will be the Next Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Railway Board. He will resume the charge of CEO and Chairman on 1 January 2023. Mr. Lahoti will replace Vinay Kumar Tripathi whose term comes to an end on 31 December. Presently. Anil Kumar Lahoti is the member of the Railway Board.

- Lahoti is a member of the Indian Railways Services of Engineer’s batch of 1984. Earlier he was posted as the general manager of Western Railways.
- A native of Guna in Madhya Pradesh, Lahoti post graduated from IIT Roorkee with a Master of Engineering (structures).
- He has served earlier in different positions in Nagpur, Jabalpur and Bhusaval divisions of Indian Railways.
