President gives away the 2022 Digital India Awards: The President of India Smt. Draupadi Murmu conferred the 7th edition of the Digital India Awards 2022 in New Delhi on 7th January 2023.Digital India Awards motivate and honour the innovative digital initiatives by the government entities at all fields. The 7th edition of the Digital India Awards (DIA) was presented on 22 teams under the 7 categories like grassroots level solutions, public digital platforms and others.

  • e-NAM portal is an online trading platform for the National Agriculture Market (NAM) launched by the honorable Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on April 2016.

President gives away the 2022 Digital India Awards: Key Highlights

  • Some of the Key people that participated in the session were Ashwini Vaishnav (The IT and Railway Minister), Alkesh Kumar Sharma (The Secretary of MeitY) among others.
  • The Government of India has envisioned the Digital India Programme to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. 
  • DIA 2022 aims to inspire and motivate not only the government entities but also start-ups and grassroots level digital initiatives in fulfilling the Digital India vision.
